IRIS: a secure, auto-scaling WordPress website for a B2B fintech
DataLab designed and built the corporate WordPress website for IRIS, a fintech offering payments, lending and reconciliation to businesses. Over one year, we delivered a fully customizable design, auto-scaling infrastructure and WordPress security best practices, so the site earns the same trust as the product.

Context
IRIS is a fintech that provides payments, lending and reconciliation to businesses. Its website, iris.com.co, is where a company decides whether it can trust IRIS with part of its financial operations. In financial services, trust is judged in seconds: a slow, outdated or vulnerable site costs credibility before the first sales meeting.
The challenge for IRIS
IRIS needed to explain three product lines (payments, lending and reconciliation) on a single site, with the flexibility a fintech needs. And like any financial services company, it could not run a website with lower security standards than its own product. The site had to be easy to update, stable and protected, all at once.
The hypothesis
If the corporate site is built to the same security and availability standards as a financial product, with a design the team can change without developers, the website keeps up with IRIS's commercial pace instead of slowing it down.
What we did
- Corporate WordPress website with a 100% customizable design: IRIS updates messaging, sections and products without a new development cycle.
- WordPress security best practices from day one, in line with what clients expect from a financial services company.
- Auto-scaling infrastructure that adjusts to demand on its own, with no manual intervention.
- One year of hands-on work from our Bogotá-based team to launch, fine-tune and support the site.
Results for IRIS
This case has no publishable traffic or conversion metrics, so we don't show numbers that weren't measured. We read the results through what was delivered: a WordPress website with a 100% customizable design, auto-scaling and WordPress security best practices, built and supported over one year. For a fintech, that means the autonomy to communicate its products and a digital storefront that supports, rather than risks, the trust its business depends on.

What we learned
In fintech, the corporate website is part of the product: if the site doesn't signal security, the client never gets to try the platform. That's why we treat the security and scalability of a corporate site with the same rigor as a transactional build.
