Frequently asked questions
01What happens after I contact DataLab?
The DataLab sales team reviews every request submitted through the form, which goes straight into our CRM, and follows up by email or phone with next steps. We work on Colombia time (UTC−5), which overlaps with most of the US business day. For quick questions, WhatsApp is the fastest channel.
02How does DataLab quote a project?
DataLab quotes after a short discovery call to understand your goal, scope, timeline and what you already have in place. We then send a proposal with deliverables, timeline, success metrics and an engagement model: fixed-scope project, monthly retainer or staff augmentation. We don't quote blind, because the price depends on the real scope of the work.
03Can I meet DataLab in person in Bogotá?
Yes. DataLab holds in-person meetings in Bogotá, Colombia, by appointment, for example for a project kickoff or a working session. Most day-to-day project work happens over video calls, which is how we work with clients in the United States and the rest of Latin America. Request a meeting through the form or on WhatsApp.
04Does DataLab work with companies in the United States?
Yes. DataLab has a presence in Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Chile and the United States, and serves clients in Colombia, the Southern Cone and the US. Nearshore projects run remotely with regular meetings, shared dashboards and a direct line to the team, during working hours that overlap with yours.
05How does DataLab protect my company's confidential information?
Any data you send through the form or WhatsApp is handled under Colombia's data protection law (Law 1581 of 2012) and our privacy policy. If your project requires a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), we review it with you before you share customer data, business figures or source code.
