Context
Ideas de Inversión is an investment content portal. Its audience lives in two places: the site, where people read and research, and social media, where they discover and share. DataLab handled content management for the project. The figures in this report are the ones we published in our portfolio in 2021, and they read as a snapshot of that moment.
The challenge for Ideas de Inversión
An investment portal competes with financial media, banks and comparison sites for the same attention. The challenge had two parts: sustain steady month-over-month traffic to the site, not just spikes around a news cycle, and build owned communities on Facebook and Twitter that multiplied the reach of every piece without relying on a single channel. All on a topic that demands rigor: when you talk about investing, one mistake costs the brand credibility.
The hypothesis
If every piece is planned for the site and for social at the same time, content works twice: social brings readers to the portal, and the portal gives social something worth sharing. With consistency, that turns into recurring traffic and communities that grow with every post.
What we did
- Content management for the portal: investment topic planning, production and continuous publishing.
- Distribution of every piece on Facebook and Twitter, adapted to each network's language.
- Ongoing reading of which topics and formats perform best to feed editorial planning.
- Measurement of site visits, community growth and reach.

What we learned
Financial content performs best when the site and social media run as one system. Social communities multiply reach, but the asset that stays is the portal: every visit that lands on the site is an audience the brand no longer has to rent. Today we apply the same principle with SEO, GEO and AEO, so that content also shows up in the answers AI engines give.
